Ceramic Shell Moulds

The wax once sprued is moved to the shell room. Here is where we make the ceramic shell moulds. We coat the wax in ceramic slurry and build up layers of stucco to make a strong shell mould. The amount of detail possible with this process is amazing and it is a cost effective way to produce excellent castings consistently.

When the ceramic shell mould is built to a satisfactory thickness it is removed to the kiln and dewaxed in preparation for the bronze pour.
